My goodwill find!

Ok so for about a year now I have been on the hunt for a pretty frenchy china cabinet, the ones I found were always too much and I really didn't want to spend that money.....sooooo after my birthday June 21....in case your curious.....lol....any who like I was saying after my birthday I kindly ask the hubster to take me to a near by goodwill store to see if they had any french china cabinets! And to my delight there she was my french china cabinet just waiting for little old me, and she was reduced from $200.00 to $99.99...and score....teeheehee....this will be my next big painting project..I would appreciate any advice you may have on how to paint this beauty......

Sorry for the poor pic's, I really need a good camera!

Look at the pretty details, boy she is a large beauty...lol...

I try to stage her a little to show her off to you....

The hubster and myself are planning on removing the pink rugs in the living and dining room, as I have pretty hard wood floors ;-) can't wait but that will have to wait! Ohhh well Rome wasn't built in a day! Haha....

My first painting project!

Hi sweeties, a couple of weeks ago a good friend was moving and she wanted to downsize on what to take to her new home, she had beautiful vintage french furniture.....well being the good friend that I am I decided to help her get rid of some items....heehee....the pretty side table you see below I just had to scoop up.....:) she told me if I didn't want it she was going to put her in the trash....can you imagine...well I couldn't let that happen so home she came with me.......happy dance here......it was a dark wood color very pretty but I love light wood, so after a couple of days I just could not live with the dark brown anymore and decided to paint her.....I really am happy with how she turned out....

Now you can see her pretty details....sorry no before pic's ;( me

I gave her a couple of coats of white paint then gave her an antique glaze....

I highlighted her details with gold paint......

Now with the gold her details just pop......

Such yummy details....

Love how pretty she turned out!!

I really am happy with the way my pretty french side table turned out....wow what a little paint can do.....it sure was fun refinishing this sweet table, I think I just might have a new addiction....lol......I hope you like her as much as I do?

Have a great day friends~
